MATCH PREVIEW: ENYIMBA VS SHOOTING STARS

All eyes will be on the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar on Wednesday as the 11th Nigeria Professional Football League game week gets underway with a mouth-watering cracker between Enyimba and Shooting Stars.

The hosts will be looking to take a step closer to the League summit while visitors Shooting Stars are desperate to swim out of the relegation zone.
Over the seasons, this fixture has always been huge on paper, generating so many talking points thus, this season’s first installment will not be different.
3SC Coach, Fatai Amoo will be looking to get a positive result from the neutral ground owing from the recent of not-so-good results the team has been getting from its home and away fixtures. Amoo said it will be ‘inexcusable’ not to take this game seriously.
"The team is in top spirit ahead of the game and will have a full compliments of the players available for selection.
He stressed that the team knows the important of getting points from away games and this should not be an exception.
"We are in Calabar for a good game and hopefully get a positive result from here.
"The players know the important of this match and thus would be ready for the task.
"We have corrected some of our lapses from Saturday and we should hope for a better performance against Enyimba’.
Interesting point to note, Enyimba Head Coach - Gbenga Ogunbote who was with the Oluyole Warriors last season has been with the team on two occasions and would leave after each season, pitched tents with Enyimba from the beginning of this season. This in its usual nature will also afford some sorts of reunion for the coach and some of our former players that cross carpeted from 3SC to Enyimba at the beginning of the season also. Tayo Adebogun, David Ojukwu and Ibrahim Salau if listed, will be facing their former team in this important fixture.
Shooting Stars occupy the 19th position on the log with a paltry 9 points from 9 games going into the match in contrast to Enyimba’s 6th position and 14 points. In anyway, we are a few hours away from one of our biggest game of the season and the team is ready for the fixture. With all the excitements and flair that this game portends to offer, we expect a good match and a good result for the Warriors as well.
