IGUDIA: Abia Warriors woes shall continue in Uyo
Godspower Igudia

After putting an end to Plateau United's unbeaten run in their last home match and picking a vital away point against Gombe United on Match Day 9, Akwa United football club will be aiming to continue their new found form when they host neighbours Abia Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium in Uyo on Saturday.
The Promise Keepers who have ten points from nine matches played so far this season are unbeaten at home with two wins and two draws.
They have also picked two valuable points away from home against Katsina United and Gombe United.
Coach Abdul Maikaba will have a full strength team to chose from following the recovery of some players from injury.
Goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode, defender Ariwachukwu Emmanuel, midfielders Cyril Olisema and Moses Ebiye are all back to full fitness, but Yusuf Adio is still nursing a knee injury.
The body Chemistry of Akwa United's players suggests that there may be no escape route for Abia Warriors on Saturday.
Playing in front of their home fans, the Promise Keepers will be expecting motivation from their supporters as they look set to compound Abia Warriors woes who have lost three, drawn one and won one in their last five matches.
Godspower Igudia said he and his team mates are focusing on picking all three points against struggling Abia Warriors who lost their last home match one nil to El Kanami Warriors.
"I am happy with the way we are coming up after the slow start we had at home. We are ready to put in our very best on Saturday to ensure we win the match and move up the table".
"We have quality players and the coaching crew have really taken time to bring out the best in us and we have seen the improvement in our games. We know the importance of this game and we are fully committed to put smiles on the faces of our fans". The defender promised.
Last season Akwa United lost at home and drawn the return leg in Umuahia against Abia Warriors.
