It was a hard fought victory for Rivers United over Kano Pillars at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt on match day 3 of the Nigerian Professional Football League

Rivers United took the lead in the 20th minutes, brilliant cross from Ojobo Markson in the right flank which was well connected by Bamba Bakary who volleys straight into the back of the net, Lokosa Junior levelled thing up for the “Sai Musa Gida” side in the 32th minutes of play.

Lokosa Junior who has scored three goals in three matches has added his sentiment on the team lost to Rivers United due to lack of communication on his team part.

“We lost the game due to lack of communication, am so happy for my team we played very well, we lost gallantly.

“Our coming out for the second half was for a purpose to grab a point, but however we are looking forward to our next game.

“At the end of the season, we hope to be among the top." He concluded.

Kano Pillars will host Abia Warriors on match day 4 of the Nigerian Professional Football League season at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano to revive their chances of been among top three at the end of the  season.
