England Confirms Nigeria Friendly Ahead Russia 2018 World Cup

England has confirmed that it will play a friendly game with Nigeria at the Wembley Stadium as part of its Russia 2018 World Cup preparations.

The Three Lions will host African nation Nigeria at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 2 at 5.51pm

The Super Eagles will be one of two opponents for England , the other likely to be against Latin American opposition, before they depart for Russia.

The matches will provide some stern competition for the two countries as the both manager finalises their preparations ahead of the tournament in Russia.

Nigeria had earlier secured a March 23 date with Poland , which is also one of the teams that qualified for the World Cup.

Super Eagles coach , Gernot Rohr had earlier stated that playing the Eastern European country was key for his team’ s quest for a win in their Group D Russia 2018 World Cup first game against Croatia .
