Bayelsa United Chairman Optimistic Of NPFL Return

Bayelsa United Chairman Tony Ogola Say's his team is fully prepared ahead of the new Nigeria National League season (NNL).

Mr Tony in an interview with newsmen in Yenagoa said that his team has never been prepared like this with the arrival of ten new NPFL players.

"We've never been prepared like this before as far as I'm concerned this is the best preparation all the players we recruited came from Premier league sides and I'm not surprised that they want to play in the (NNL) because Bayelsa United is one of the highest paid sides in Nigeria despite the fact that we're playing in the (NNL), So we have a lot of quality players from premier league  sides, Players that I know that can take the  team back to the Nigeria Professional Football league almost immediately."


The Restoration Boys who are in group B1 of the Nigeria National League alongside Shooting stars of Ibadan, Gateway FC, Agege Spartan, Akwa Starlet and Neighbours Julius Atete as well as 2014 NPFL runners Warri Wolves will kick start their season on 3rd March against Abia Comet.

The former Ocean Boys chairman also confirm the arrival of the notable names.

"We've plenty of them we've Fabiyi Emmanuel from Gombe United, Brenda Ogbu from Heartland FC and Henry Eddy from Ifeanyi Ubah and the of rest them, We've about ten premier league players in our team".

He however advice the players not to loss focus, more especially the indigenous players because playing at home has its own disadvantage because promotion is our target. He Concluded.
