Niger
Tornadoes gaffer Hamza Abara has said that his side will not be relegated at the end of NPFL
2018/2019 season after they suffered 1-0 defeat away from home in Port
Harcourt.
Rivers
United Wasiu Jimoh’s brilliant strike from 25 yards beat Niger
Tornadoes keeper Aliko Mustapha who was hapless to save the powerful rocket going
straight into the net secured maximum points for the host.
Eight
games without a win is a call for concern by stakeholders and loving supporters
of the club.
Hamza
Abara who played down talks about Niger Tornadoes going on relegation after
match day 14 defeats to Rivers United said they have a strategy to turn the
magic around to remain among elite clubs in Nigeria Professional Football
League.
“Mark
my words we are not going on relegation we’ve drawn our strategy and it shall yield
result”. Hamza told www.kelvianomedia.blogspot.com.ng
“Football
is all about repetition of mistakes, we came to Port Harcourt for a total of
three points but reverse is the case”.
Hamza
also took time to laud his young squad for putting up a spirited performance
against Rivers United despite the 1-0 loss they suffered in Port Harcourt.
“We
have young talented players who are ready to grow; we are nursing them to reach
their peak so am satisfy with the boys”. Hamzo Abara concluded.
Niger
Tornadoes currently sit bottom of the log amassing 10 points from 14 games
played so far and will face Wikki Tourist of Bauchi at home in match day 15
Nigeria Professional Football League fixtures.
