1st Tonye Jekiri PHCity Basketball Challenge: SBMF Dispatch E-Bluk in an Intense Game.

SBMF Basketball Team at the 1st Tonye Jekiri PHCity Basketball Challenge


The Soso Bobmanuel Foundation (SBMF) was delight to watch on the night as they fought hard to dispatch a more experience side E-Bluk in a 46-51 encounter.


Alalibo, draw the first blood for E-Bluk in the first quarter, going on the produce some deadly pass that saw they takes the lead.


SBMF had their moment to turn the table around in their favour, making a steal off E-Bluk to record their first win of the basketball challenge coming from behind in the third and fourth quarter.


Coach of SBMF, Noble Wechie claim the victory over a well studded side said his boys did their work on the court.


"I will claim the victory, it was an intense game playing against a more experience side, I'm happy we won the gane and the boy's did their work, they played their game,"


"Each time I see or hear something like this, I am very very happy because I personally I'm for the development of basketball and platform like this are enabling platform to help develop basketball in Port Harcourt, help get this younger ones to the next level,"


"If platform like this are available and created, it help and encourage the player's, it help them assess all the training they've been doing, it helps the general growth of basketball and we as coaches and stakeholders in basketball, it helps us." Coach Noble Wechie echoes.


On his part, Coach of E-Bluk, Engr Ebitari Soroh, rued the loss to SMBF blamed it on lack of coordination of the player's.


"Actually, I'm not really disappointed, we tried our best but wasn't good enough, SBMF they did a lot and our issue was the box out, we weren't do that and we loss the game at the end point of it, we weren't really coordinated."


SBMF will continue their impressive run taking on P. Town Ballers in their second game, while E-Bluk will be hoping of bouncing back to winning ways against Peace Markers
