1st Tonye Jekiri PHCity Basketball Challenge Tip Off To A Thrilling Start, As DA-F Kings, SBMF, Ricday and Peace Markers record first win.

The first edition of Tonye Jekiri PHCity Basketball Challenge tips off to a thrilling start at the Hoopers basketball court in Port Harcourt.

DA-F Kings fought hard to defeat Okrika Hawks 47-37 in a close contest with lots of mount watering display of skills in the third and fourth quarter 27-28, 37-47 opening a 10 points lead to claim the first victory producing three pointers shot and turnovers in the opening game of the basketball challenge.

Okrika Hawks took an early lead in the first and second period 5-4, 18-14 respectively going into the break at half time.

The second game of the day was electrifying seeing young lads makes basketball with fun and ease of control as Peace Markers edge out P. Town Ballers 41-38

Ricday Basketball showed superiority over Favour Arena with a 50-37 win, taking full control of the game in fascinating style.

Rootless Ricday did not come to the party smiling but were accurate in making good basket, scoring the rebound points at when necessary not underating their opponent Favour Arena.

The last game of the day witness SMBF coming from behind to defeat a well studded side E-Bluk 46-51. A side that has the likes of Precious Alalibo of Rivers Hoopers.

An exciting contest that kept most fans on their feet for the majority of the duration of the game, E-Bluk led for the most part of the game before they were overtaken at the end of the third and fourth period by SBMF to secure an emphatic win at the end.
