Super Eagles round off their 2019 AFCON Qualifiers as group toppers with a 3-1 win over Pirates of Seychelles in Asaba

Odion Ighalo open scoring from the spot to hand the host a lead in the 35th minutes of fantastic display after Wilfred Ndidi was foul in the penalty box.

Pirates of Seychelles responded in the 41th minutes to level up 1-1 from Uzoho goalkeeping error resulted to M Rody finding the back of the net.

Resilient Eagles keep mounting pressure on the Pirates as Odion Ighalo efforts in the penalty area, turns away from his marker but his efforts hit the woodwork.

Although not a better first half as both sides settle for 1-1 draw going into the break at half time.

As the second half restart, rejuvenated Eagles return back to the submit of gaining possession with brilliant interchange of passes in the middle of the park.

Jamilu Collins brilliant cross fell on Henry Onyekuru who made no mistake to nod past the keeper of Seychelles for Eagles to take the lead in the 50th minutes of play.

Substitute Moses Simon who replaces Odion Ighalo makes his presence count on his first attempt of the game, getting on the score sheet to secure a comfortable 3-1 victory for Nigeria.

An improve second half for high flying Eagles with plethora of opportunity for Nigeria to increase the goal scoring chance of the night slips into thin air like flames of gas.

Nigeria will now shift attention to trail tackles with Pharaoh's of Egypt in an International Friendly game in preparation ahead of the kick off of Africa Cup of Nation starting in June.
