Rivers SWAN appoints award winning sports blogger, OAPs, into State Executive Committee

The State Executive Committee of Sports Writer's Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Rivers chapter has enlarged the number of the executive positions in the state

The appointment of members to fill various positions became necessary in order to foster peace, growth, unity and progress in the association.

During the June 2021 Congress of the chapter, Sarah David led state executive filled the vacant position by appointing award winning Sports Radio Presenter and Family Love OAP, Mr. Deinma Abaku Vice Chairman, ACLSports Chief Football Writer, Fisayo Dairo Assistant Secretary, Award Winning Sports Blogger, Kelvin Eyo Welfare Officer, Nigeria Info OAP and NPFL.Tv analyst Carl Orakwue Ex-Officio 1, while Sanipe Damiete as the Ex-Officio 2 of the chapter.

Speaking after the appointment, the award winning sports blogger, Eyo Idongesit Kelvin said the time to rebirth Rivers SWAN is now.

"The appointment is timely and necessary to change the narrative and rebirth Rivers SWAN for productivity, growth and development of members".

"The welfare of members in the association is top priority on the list, our members deserve the best in all spheres and we are ready to ensure they are well cater for"

Newly appointed welfare officer thanked the state executive committee for the appointment and also the Congress while calling on them for their support.

"I want to extend my gratitude to the State Executive Committee for deeming it fit to appoint me to be part of the state Excos.

"I also used this medium to thank the Congress while calling on them for their unalloyed support for better treatment of our members, Eyo Kelvin concluded.

They are to serve in full capacity of their various statutory positions as stipulated in SWAN Statute.
