The Coordinator of NYSC Rivers state, Chief Chinwendu Ogbonnaya Chukwu has advised 2021 Batch A Stream 2 corps members deployed to the state to reciprocate the love which Rivers people shower on them by offering selfless, quality and top notch services that will transform their lives.


He gave the advice today, while presiding over the closing ceremony of 2021 Batch A Stream 2 orientation course exercise for corps members deployed to Rivers state at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, Tai LGA.


The NYSC Rivers state boss assured the corps members that Rivers people are hospitable, accommodating and peaceful.


He therefore charged them to respect the culture and tradition of the people of their host community and work hard to integrate into their way of life.


The Mene Yereba Nepyamiughon of Ogoni kingdom speaking further, advised the corps members to keep faith with the oath of allegiance they swore to by being disciplined, morally upright and committed to excellence at all times.

He warned them against unauthorized journeys, especially night travels as its consequences are always unpleasant.


Chief Chukwu congratulated the corps members for a successful camping exercise and encouraged them to offer their services to the fatherland without fear of intimidation or harassment.


The closing ceremony featured march past in slow and quick time as well as 3 hearty cheers to the State Coordinator and Review Officer, Chief Chinwendu Chukwu.


It attracted the presence of camp officials who commended the corps members for their discipline and the beautiful march past they performed.
