RIVERS UNITED COORDINATOR Badawiy commends LMC, NRA and NFF
General co-ordinator of Rivers United FC, Bashir Badawiy has taken the time to commend the match officials that took charge of the club's match day 11 NPFL game against Wikki Tourists in Bauchi on Wednesday.
Badawiy also commended the set of referees that officiated in the match day 10 contest between United and Sunshine Stars in Akure.
Badawiy stressed that the performances of the referees portend positives for the country's football.
"The officiating we recorded so far in our last two away games was quite commendable.
"Shuaibu Abdullahi the centre referee did enough through his performance to make our league the number one, the best in Africa.
" It was also a similar story in Bauchi when the referee was fair and firm in his handling of the game.
"I also want to use this medium to commend the League Management Company (LMC) and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for making the Nigeria Professional Football (NPFL) a lot more professional and more attractive than it was in previous seasons.
" I also want to commend the Nigeria Referees Association for ensuring that the standard of officiating has improved which has now meant that more away draws and victories are now recorded than ever before, " he said.
