Matilda Confirm Rivers Angels Readiness For NWFL Super Six, Set to Storm Edo

Matilda Otuene, the General Manager of Rivers Angels Football Club has expressed the team’s readiness for the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six scheduled to begin May 16, 2022 in Benin City.
She said her team is fully ready for
the task ahead and would replicate the professionalism they had always
displayed when it comes to Super six as defending champions.
The Port Harcourt based team
would begin the Nigeria Women Football League Super Six against rivalry Bayelsa
Queens in match day one.

Matilda stated that it will be difficult for any team to take down Rivers
Angels in the competition, considering the team putting in lots of work and
progress to defend the title again.
STATEMENT BY THE GENERAL MANAGER OF RIVERS ANGELS FOOTBALL CLUB,
MATILDA OTUENE:
“Yes I can say we are ready, the
girls have worked hard we’ve put in a lot of input, lots of progress we’ve made,
work rate is impressive so overall we are ready to storm Edo State”
“In every competition has its own
pressure, has its own intricacy and then when you get into competition, your
first game is always a game that everybody wants to get it right, you want to
be careful, you want to make sure you get it right at the first game but once
the tournament keep improving you can now see the best of the players, keep
progressing along with the competition”
“Yes against Bayelsa Queens is
the match everybody is watching, everybody wants to see what’s the outcome of
it, Bayelsa always know that Rivers Angels is not a team you can just push
over, I know right there everybody’s target is Rivers Angels, but one thing I will
tell them, is going to be hard to take down Rivers Angels”
