DA-F Basketball sets for holiday camp/clinic for teens in Port Harcourt

Port Harcourt based outfit, DA-F Basketball has concluded plans to host the 12th edition of holiday camp/clinic for teens between the age of Seven to Nineteen years of age with the theme "BASKETBALL AT YOUR BACK YARD".
The 12th edition of the DA-F basketbal clinic is to developed the game of basketball by engaging teenagers with the basics of basketball to becoming professionals, and will run from 1st to 17th August, 2019 in five different courts in the state.
The initiator of the holiday clinic and camping exercise for teenagers, Coach Fubara Onyanabo revealed that the idea behind this year basketball clinic/camping are programmes oriented.
"The idea is to bring youth programme's almost every where that we have they played basketball there, they have one or two kids that played basketball, am targeting 50 and 60 kids from various court, and all the court are fully aware of this event,"
Speaking at a press briefing in Port Harcourt, Coach Fubara Onyanabo revealed that achievements are mentioned in different ways for him taking the kids off the street are his major achievement so far.

"For me taking the teenager out of the street is my major achievement for this, but outside that presently we have closed to 20 kids in America on Athletics scholarship, everywhere Rivers State has shined have done something outstanding in basketball, you will see our product there,"
"For the past one year members of DA-F basketball program have featured in the DTigers, the likes of Victor Anthony he was part of the CHAN, Tonye Ejikere was part of the World Cup Qualifiers, Godgift Ekachuwa he was in the commonwealth games, the present captain of the Rivers Hoopers is a product of the basketball program,"
"This year we have two players from our program, in person of Chibuzor Kanu and his brother drafted to the Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club, Ebuka Okpara a member of the program, he was in Junior DTigers at Cape Vade and by the grace of God I was the Head Coach of that team, so our product is everywhere," Coach Fubara added

Head Coach of Nigeria’s U16 National Team said that basketball for me is a ministry where God has assigned him to and he's born because of basketball.
"Basketball for me is a ministry, it is what God has asked me to do and I also believe that if he has asked me to do it he always makes provision. Am born because of doing this for myself but I know in no distance time we will get support," Coach Fubara told www.kelvianomedia.blogspot.com.ng
Participants of the 12th edition of DA-F Basketball holiday camp/clinic will be provided will free Basketball top and other awards for outstanding athletes.
