Four time Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Champions, Rivers Angels on Friday unveiled their newly signed players for the 2017/2018 season.

The event was held inside the main bowl of the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Elekahia, Port Harcourt and was graced by members of the Rivers State chapter of the l Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and fans of the club.

Team Manager of the club, Matilda Michael Oyiloha during the unveiling urged the new players to give their best towards achieving the goals of the team.

Oyiloha also expressed her confidence in the ability of the players as she believes they can deliver the goods for the team.

"I am confident with the new signings we've made," stated Oyiloha.

"I've watched them train and play with the old players and I'm sure they can deliver.

"I also pray that grace will be made available this year and they'll meet up to our standards," she added.

Similarly, the Jewel of Rivers announced Haggai Sports as the club's new kit sponsor for the 2017/2018 NWFL season.

Team Manager, Matilda Oyiloha said the club decided to go for Haggai because she wanted something different for her girls.

"Haggai is an upcoming brand and I've seen some of their works which I'm impressed with," said Oyiloha.

"I equally love quality things and believe my team deserves the very best when it comes to kits for the players and officials," she added.

In a related development, Rivers Angels midfielder, Evelyn Nwabuoku was equally unveiled as an Ambassador of Haggai.

Rivers Angels' first game for the season will be away to Delta Queens on April 11 at the Kwale Township stadium in Delta State.
