Speaking after the 'Pride of Rivers' grab their own destiny with both hands to close in onto the group stage of CAF champions League, Stanley Eguma commended the players for putting in their best to secure the maximum victory.

"It was a very keenly contested game, it was a game whereby the player's came out to give their best because we know a good result here will be better for us,"

"We gave in everything to the game to ensure we come out victorious, it's a two leg encounter, today we have won and we still need to work hard for the return leg,"

"We have to double the effort to confirm our qualification, so far we have picked the maximum points here,"

Eguma further explain that four key players were affected by COVID results which came out less than two hours to kick off almost demoralised the team spirit and plans.

"It actually affected our plans, it was a very big blow, less than two hours to the game, getting such a report that four key players in your team are positive due to COVID Results,"
