Nigeria Women Football League Match Day 11 will be an emotional one Super Falcons and Edo Queens Captain Glory Ogbonna whose team will be away to her former club Ibom Angels in Uyo, Akwa Ibom on Wednesday 24th March 2021.

 

Ogbonna who spent over six years with Ibom Angels in an exclusive chat with Wazobia FM Sports Presenter Favour Itua says it is home coming for her although 3 points will not be negotiable.

 

" It has been an interesting season so far, coming up against a team I played for over six years Ibom Angels is special, lots of memories but then it is football and I'm prepared for the encounter with 3 points on my mind".

 

It will be recalled, Ogbonna in her years at Ibom Angels got to back to back finals of the Aiteo Cup but lost both to Rivers Angels.

 

Since her arrival to Edo Queens, the African Women Cup of Nations winner has since settled as her first goal came last week in a 3-1 win over Abia Angels at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.

 

Edo Queens are currently 3rd on the log with 20 points from 10 matches and Captain Ogbonna will hope to snatch a win against a struggling Ibom Angels side who are currently 13th with 4 points from 10 matches.
