US Open: Organisers Reveals COVID-19 Safety Measures and precautions

Inline with the return of Tennis following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic that has erupted sporting activities all over the world, safety measure have been put in place by the organiser ahead of US open slated later this month. 

For a seem less and hitch free tournament, Players will be tested before traveling and after the game all throughout the tournament which did not go down well with some of the players. 

According to the organisers, the frequency of testing is going to be 1-2 times per week and also there will be a daily temperature check with a symptom questionnaire to ascertain the health status of each player after every game.

However, players are to ensure that Social distancing be followed in every single place from the locker rooms, fitness centers etc. Wearing of mask unless they are training or competing.

Meanwhile, the organisers also set a side measure to be followed by guests travelling with the players These other Regulations are for guest traveling with as to avoid any outbreak of Virus during and after the competition. 

The USTA have made arrangement for each player to be given two hotel rooms with each not more than two person maximum as they will only cater for one room while the player will take care of the other room. 

The USTA also announced that they have received assurance from the federal government that players will have no issues entering the country in the unlikely event that the tournament are canceled, all players will receive a travel stipend.

The Cincinnati Masters will take place from August 22nd to 28th and the US Open will take place from August 31st to September 13th. There will also be qualifying draw for the Masters event but there will be none for the Grand Slam.
