NBBF confirm date for teams and tip off of Premier League

The Nigeria Basketball Federation has confirmed tip off date for the commencement of the Men's Premier League scheduled for 8th July.

Participating teams divided into the traditional setup of Savannah and Atlantic Conferences which will see clubs from. The North West, North East and North Central geopolitical zones locked it out in the Savannah Conference.

The Savannah Conference will comprise of high fire power of Gombe Bulls, Kano Pillars, Mark Mentors, and Niger Potters of Minna, as well of Kada Stars of Kaduna, Bauchi Nets, Nigeria Immigration of Zaria, Benue Braves, Nigeria Army, City Chiefs of Gboko, Plateau Peak of Jos, and Defenders of Abuja will consolidate on their achievements at the 2019 FIBA Afro League.

In the Atlantic Conference, reigning FIBA Africa Zone 3 Champions, Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club of Port Harcourt will sweat it out for another taste of continental action  against rivals Nigeria Customs of Lagos, Kwara Falcons of Ilorin, Oluyole Warriors, Delta Force of Asaba, Hoops and Read.

Meanwhile, newly promoted Enugu Coal, Invaders of Ado Ekiti, and Raptors of Lagos will be hoping to stay among clubs in the elite division as Dodan Warriors, Lagos Islanders and Union Bank Basketball Club make a return to top flight league after their bans been lifted by the NBBF.

The league which serves as qualifiers for the newly introduced and money spinning NBA sponsored Basketball Africa League will run between 8th of July and 9th of November.
