England 2-1 Nigeria: Cahill, Kane Goals Sealed Victory For England

Super Eagles of Nigeria loss 2-1 to England in an International Friendly match decided at the Wembley Stadium, London as final preparatory match before the kick off of the FIFA World Cup in Russia. 

Nigeria Poor display in the first half of the encounter reck havoc as the three lions of England capitalise on it to punish a sloppy performing side as Gary Cahill header in the 7th minute ensures England are in front with a 1-0 lead. 

Harry Kane makes it 2-0 before the break to hand the host a comfortable lead in the first half, it was a game of one half, keeping possession on the ball, dominating and mounting pressure to grabs more goals. 

The Super Eagles bounce back with a superlative display to tame dangerous run of the three lions within their 18th yard box and that pays off when Ighalo strike hit the woodwork for a rebound that fell on Alex Iwobi who calmly slot it pass Pickford in goal for England to restore back hope for Nigeria just few minutes into the second half. 

Nigeria continue their quest to level terms with the host prove abortive as the damage had already been done in the first half to sealed a 2-1 victory for England at the Wembley Stadium, London. 

Both teams will now shift focus and attention to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia which will kick off in a space of two weeks.
