Niger Tornadoes lost to Rivers United 2-0 on match day nine of the Nigerian Professional Football League in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

However, the Captain of Niger Tornadoes Aliko Mustapha has put the lost behind him and strongly believes that the club will bounce back to winning ways in a couple of days after the team lost to Rivers United.

Aliko speaking to kelvianomedia.blogspot.com.ng in an exclusive interview voice out his sentiment on what transpired before the first goal was scored by Osita Chikere in minutes.

“Before the corner kick I complained to the referee that some players want to hold me, immediately the corner kick, they held me and eventually they scored which demoralize the team”. Aliko added

“But I don’t want to complain about referee issue, they are human being prone to mistakes, we lost and it wasn’t a bad game for us.

"Majority of the team are new players, we have to play together and blend, we have very good players all young and ready to go.

"I strongly believe in them and the club will bounce back soon.

"We have good players who are ready to go, they are ready to learn, they are ready to give their best, I hope and pray the club will bounce back to make our supporters and fans happy.” Aliko Concluded in optimism.

Niger Tornadoes are currently occupied bottom position on the NPFL log with nine points from nine games and will hope of getting back to winning ways when they host Abia Warriors on match day ten.
