HOOPERS TO COMPENSATE FANS WITH FALCONS SCALP

Having booked their place in the Conference 6 playoffs, ending the regular season home games with a dominant victory over Nigeria Customs on Saturday, Rivers Hoopers will turn their attention to Kwara on Thursday.

Two out of three losses suffered by the KingsMen this season were inflicted by the Adewunmi Aderemi's Kwara Falcons side.

First was the hammering in Ilorin on May 25 while the second happened on June 29, 2017 as Hoopers failed to redeem themselves in front of their home fans.

Hoopers guard, Emmanuel Balogun thinks the Conference 6 play offs is more important than their remaining 4 regular season games.

"We prepared very well and we are approaching it with the mindset of going to win the game. Most importantly, I have been communicating with my teammates I know this game is important but we should just focus more on the Conference 6.

"We have plans of compensating the fans because the expectation is very high. I think we went the last time unprepared mentally based on the fact that we underrated them and seeing that we won the first game.”Balogun stated.

Rivers Hoopers will play Kwara Falcons on Thursday in Ilorin before taking on Oluyole Warriors on Saturday in Ibadan.
