.....Charges Teammates ahead of Delta Queens NWFL Opener



Rivers Angels attacking midfielder, Deborah Abiodun has expressed her readiness ahead of the NWFL opener against Delta Queens on Wednesday.



Speaking exclusively, to Kelviano Media after the U20 Women Team (Falconets) won their game against Congo in Brazilleve, she expressed confidence on retaining the NWFL title to walk through the same road of representing Nigeria at the CAF Women Champions League with Rivers Angels.



She attributed that the expectations has surpassed her thinking, "My expectations are very high, myself and my teammates will endeavour to do our best to win our match cos it’s our first League match and it’s very important to us all as it is an away game".



Abiodun charges her teammates to put behind the CAF Women Champions League woes behind and face the present task ahead by ensuring victory in all the NWFL games in order to be back in the continent.



"Firstly it was a big privilege and honour for us to be the first team to represent Nigeria in the first ever CAF Women Champions League, despite the fact that it wasn't an easy run for us".

 


"The hardwork and determination we all put to qualify for the competition, should be channel into retaining the 2021/2022 NWFL title". Abiodun said.



"It won't be an easy run but we must put up a good outing against Delta Queens.



She further thanked the Rivers State Government, for giving them a platform, support and funds in making their dream come true, also appreciate the Ministry of Sports, Management and coaching crew for their role in ensuring the team had a good outing in Egypt.



Deborah Abiodun was instrumental leading Rivers Angels to her first convincing 4-0 win at the CAF Women Champions League against Vihiga Queens of Kenya is confidence of walking through the same road again with Rivers Angels.
