To crown a year of various activities on and off the basketball court, The Soso Bobmanuel Foundation (SBMF) in partnership with Greater Love International Ministry (GLIM) will be hosting a year-end 3-on-3 basketball tournament tagged "The Jesus Games".

In a chat with members of the press, 2-time NBBF league champion, Soso Bobmanuel revealed that the games will feature 12 of the best amateur basketball teams from the Niger Delta, with each team comprising 5 players, and a minimum of 100 kids set to participate.

The 2-day tournament which is scheduled to take place at GLIM Court, No. 1 GLIM Estate, Off Egbelu Akani Road by Cornerstone Bus Stop, NTA Road, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, will feature 3-on-3 basketball, slam dunk contest, 3-point challenge, among other exciting activities. Prizes will be handed out to the top 3 teams, players, and even spectators.

According to Soso Bobmanuel, whose aim remains to create a channel for youths to use their physical abilities and talents to create a better life for themselves through sports, the tournament is a way to make sure that the youths are kept engaged in something productive even as we get into the yuletide season.

Lead Pastor of GLIM, Pastor Kingsley Alabrah, who played basketball for leisure and remains an avid lover and follower of the sport said "The reason why the church is coming out for this [event] is to reach out to the youths, to take the youths out of the street, to engage them in sport and to also deliver the gospel to them through basketball."

The games are scheduled to tip-off by 9am on Friday, 17th December, 2021, and will conclude on Saturday, 18th December, 2021.
