You Will Be Punish, Burn Your Candle Quick, Kennedy advice Rivers United Ahead of CAF Confederation Cup

Akwa United gaffer, Kennedy Boboye had some words of encouragement for the “Pride of Rivers” ahead of their club engagement in the CAF Confederation cup tie against Futuro Kings FC of Equatorial Guinea in their opening campaign.

 

Boboye has suggested Rivers United should that burning their candle and start fan turning themselves to get an early goals that can help the team in the continent ahead of the tie.

 

Although Rivers United continues to struggle at the Governor Wike Pre-season tournament to impress spectators and supporters of the club but Stanley Eguma believes his side is still a work in progress to jell the together and man up to task ahead.

 

Speaking to Kelviano Media at the on-going Governor Wike Pre-season tournament Boboye said “My only concern is that, one I have to talk about the opponent is the team, is my state I give them kudos.”


“They shouldn’t start slowly because they didn’t start well and if they are playing in the continent, and start like this they will be punish, and if they been punish before you get yourselves it becomes a problem.”


Boboye continued: “So if they have to burn, they have to burn their candle quick and make sure they get early goals that can help them in the continent. I just wish them well and they start fan tuning themselves in the game proper.”
