Go Round outclass Kano Pillars in Omoku

By: Eyo Kelvin

Akaba Otega and Adeseun Adelani scored either side of half time to inspire Go Round to a richly-deserved 2-1 victory over Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday.

Rabiu Ali scored Pillars’ consolation just before the blast to signal for end of first half as the host overpowered 'Sai Masu Gida' 2-1 in a compelling contest decided at the KrisDera Hotel Stadium, Omoku.

Due reward was to arrive just after the restart of the second halve as pressure keep pilling up from the home side as they continued in relentless fashion and barely six minutes into the second halve Adeseun Adelani scored in the 51th minutes as Go Round took the lead in exhilarating fashion.

The host should have scored more in the second half but missed a plethora of chances to add some gloss to the eventual score line.

Speaking after the game, Coach Willy Udube revealed to www.kelvianomedia.blogspot.com.ng how he psyche the players to go all out for a win against Kano Pillars in order to redeemed their pride.

"Kano Pillars is one of the best team we have in the Nigeria Professional Football League, actually we lost away and came back, I told my players that we just have to redeem ourselve despite the fact they are good, we must win and luckily we got the result." Coach Willy revealed.

Wednesday’s result means that Go Round move up to fourth on the log of Group B with 11 points from a possible seven while Pillars have amassed eight points from their seven matches.
