Boma Iyaye, Daniel Igali Inspect Facility For The 2018 African Wrestling Championship

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) in charge of African Wrestling Championship  of Rivers State Ministry of Sports embark on facility tour at the Alfred Diete Spiff (Civil Centre) Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.

The facility tour led by the Honourable Commissioner for Sports in the state Boma Iyaye and the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF) Mr. Daniel Igali tour round the facility of Alfred Diete Spiff Sporting Complex to ensure readiness of the Rivers State Government to host the upcoming African Wrestling Championship in the state.

After the tour of facility the Commissioner for Sports spoke with Kelvianomedia.blogsport.com about the readiness of the Rivers State Government in hosting a successful African Wrestling  Championship in the state

"This is full inspection of facilities available for the African Wrestling Championship and the National Wrestling Championship for November".

"Myself and the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF) on behalf of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), we came here for this inspection", Boma Iyaye said. 

"We are very impressed with what we've seen here, the facilities are up to date and what we need now is just to touch few spot to make sure we meet up international standard. Iyaye added.

On his part the President of Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF) Mr Daniel Igali said the facilities are adequate and they are on course and ready to host any competition.

"The facilities are adequate we just need slight touches, we need to install the sound which shouldn't take us more than two weeks".

"So far am impressed with the facilities here, I think we have what it's needed to host whatever competition here at the Civil Centre", said Igali

Nigeria won the hosting right for the 2018 Senior, Junior and Cadet African Wrestling Championships, 42 years after the competition was instituted.
