NDSF: Hoops Action Heats Up in Bayelsa State As Race To Uyo Trails Commence

With just 19 days left until the highly anticipated Niger Delta Sports Festival, Bayelsa State is gearing up for an exciting showdown. The basketball elimination trials kicked off simultaneously in Kaiama and Yenagoa, headquarters of Kolokuma/Opokuma and Yenagoa local government areas, respectively.

The trials, proudly sponsored by the Niger Delta Development Commission (@nddconline), are part of the festival's "Beyond Oil: Harnessing Talents" initiative, aimed at promoting sports development and youth empowerment in the Niger Delta region.

The basketball trials saw talented young players from across Bayelsa State gather to showcase their skills and compete for a spot on the state's team. The atmosphere was electric, with spectators cheering on their favorite teams and players.
