By Eyo KelvinSoso Bob-Manuel, Founder SBMFoundation
The Founder of SBMFoundation, Mr Soso Bob-Manuel has charged his team to defend their home court ahead of the Elite Player Skills Challenge in Port Harcourt.
Mr Soso
made the call during the press briefing in Port Harcourt he said let the game be about the players and not
the referee and players should take away the mentality of being favour by the
referee and not relies on any favour.
“When you
take the games away from the players, you want us to look at you, there are
some things that will happen the crowd will be surprise because they felt to a
T that this was wrong, it’s was a wrong call, but they ref for some strange
reason has call it when it becomes a norm people now look at it the ref is
against this particular team, we want to avoid that at all cost”. Mr Soso told

“All we
need to do is defend our home court, don’t look for any favours don’t think
anything is coming your way, defend your home court, that’s the only way you
put yourselves out there because if you start with the mentality of the ref
being favourable towards you when you leave your comfort zone what will happen
to you, when you leave the place where the ref doesn’t know you”.
“Will your fifteen points turn to six points, will your fifteen points and seven rebounds turn to six points and three rebounds let the game be about the players let it not be about the ref”. Mr Soso echoes.
