Abia Warriors left back Ubong Williams have set sight on Port Harcourt base club Rivers United to snatch away valuable point from the ‘Pride of Rivers’ on match day six of the Nigeria Professional Football league fixture when both side face off on Sunday in Port Harcourt.

Ubong Williams who was instrumental to his side hard fought 1-0 win over MFM of Lagos at the Umuahia Township Stadium believes that the victory will boost the team morale ahead of their crucial encounter with Rivers United.

Speaking to www.kelvianomedia.blogspot.com.ng Ubong said, the team have a target before the end of the season and coming to Port Harcourt is to pick valuable point to place the team on a favourable position.

“It wasn’t an easy game for us against MFM, but however, we have recorded the victory and have put that game behind us, our focus now is ensuring that we keep the winning spirit when we take on the Port Harcourt side on Sunday.

“Rivers United is a well-known team to us and we are fully aware of their well studded squad but what will separate us at the end of 90th minutes are the maximum points we will pick away from Port Harcourt”. Ubong echoes.

“We will approach the game on Sunday with a winning mentality as our target is to give Umuahia capital city a continental ticket”, Ubong Williams told Kelviano Media

Abia Warriors is yet to win away from home who currently occupied 6th position on the log with eight points from five games while Rivers United is 9th on the table amassing same points so far this term.
