NPFL: Rivers United Players Protest At Government House

Players of Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt early hours of Tuesday morning protest at the Rivers State Government House to press home demands for their 2014/2015 sign on fees.

It would be recall that the sign on fees of players were owed by the previous administration, before the merger of the defunct Sharks and Dolphins FC, which has ever since has not been paid.

The Sports loving Governor in the state addressed the players personally and promised to look into their demands.

The players, realizing the folly of their actions, went down on their knees and profusely apologized to the Governor, the Hon Commissioner and the people of Rivers State on the folly of their actions

The players thanked the Governor and apologized for their actions.
