Paul Odeh 47' minutes cracker from 25 yards extend the lead for the home side, before Shedrack Asiegbu 60th minutes goal made it 3-0 to comfortably hand Rivers United the needed victory.

Meanwhile, Stanley Eguma attributed the victory of his side to hard work of the entire team.

"I feel very happy it was a very big win, we worked for it expecting a win and in a grand style like this, it's hard work that paid off". Eguma relief his thoughts.
"Most of the players are playing in the continent for the very first time, so I wasn't surprised in the first half, we were expected to play with lots of confidence, but we couldn't raise that".

United’s Eguma was satisfied with the performance of his lads but insisted his side is not under pressure as Nigeria only representative in the Continent.

"We are not under pressure, we know we have the quality to represent the country well, our plans is to surpass what we did last season". Eguma stated.
