Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation Sensitized Officials Ahead of Upcoming National Championship

The Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts
Federation, NMMAF has held a National Technical Workshop in conjunction with
the Rivers State Sports Council to enlighten athletes, coaches and officials on
the latest development in the Sport and in preparation for upcoming events.
The President of the Federation
Ambassador Henry George speaking after the event said the workshop is in
preparation for the upcoming National Championship and part of efforts to
enlighten athletes.
"It is a national workshop, the
essence of the workshop is to educate the coaches, athlete’s officials and referees
on the Sport of Mixed Martial Arts and prepare them for upcoming events such as
African championship, National Championship and World championship that are
coming up.
He also explained, "It is to
keep athletes, officials ready and abreast with the latest development, it is
totally for the developmental aspect of the Sport."
The workshop which took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State over the weekend was mainly held for developmental purposes of the Sport in the country and in line with the rules and laws of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation, IMMAF.
