As the clock ticks to the kick off of the much anticipated Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) football competition among media houses in Rivers State, General manager of WAVE 91.7FM Mr Rex Igiri charge the sports crew to win this year maiden edition of the SWAN Henry Kalio Cup tournament
Speaking exclusively to www.kelvianomedia.blogspot.com.ng Mr Rex Igiri voiced his sentiments that other teams in the competition have decided to tag his lads names ahead of the competition should get ready to face the toughest and hardest team in this year tournament.
"The fact that one station won last years doesn't mean that same station is going to win this year but we are fully prepared, and I know the sport team is ready to get the trophy back home.
"So if you are out there and you think as we are starting this competition the trophy is going to come to you, you are wasting your time just be ready because you are meeting the hardest and toughest team ever". Mr Rex Igiri echoes.
Meanwhile, Mr Rex Igiri reaffirms the stations continual support to SWAN, considering the importance of Sports as a unifying factor in the country and the world in general
"As an individual and as a station we will support SWAN, as far as sport is concern, there is no way a station would run without sport and sports is a unifying body in the country and in the whole world.
"Henry Kalio competition is something that as long as we are here, we will always like to be part of, because he's shown so much interest and enthusiasm even before he was called to eternal glory, and so as a station we will always be part of the competition on yearly basis.
Wave FM is grouped alongside Treasure FM, CoolWazobiaNigeriaInfo FM, UST Excel FM, NTA PH in group A.
